These certs may get you in the door at a non-tech oriented business, but they dont impress hiring managers in a legit organization. To get in the door with the real players, entry level guys should know networking, so the CCNA cert will do the job. Some hiring managers want an IT or Computer Science degree. Stay away from CS unless you like math. As with most hands on fields, college will not go deep enough for you to graduate with any real skills. The onus is on the individual to pick up a book and practice. Know the terms, understand topologies, hardware, processes, terminologies (ITIL). Basically on an interview you have to speak their language to get in.

I would also suggest getting a paid (or unpaid) internship as a junior in IT. That way you get hands on training while not expected to perform at a high level.

Comptia A+ = Worthless on the big stage
Comptia Security+ = Worth having to show interest in the field
IT Degree = Looks really good
CCNA, RHSCA, RHCE = Almost guaranteed job

Once in the door you can parlay the knowledge into a specialty: Endpoint security, SOC, NOC, virtual machines, vulnerability management, linux admin, windows admin, system patching (SCCM), email systems, authentication, backups and disaster recovery... the list goes on.
I can co sign this 100%

as for me I don't have the CCNA, RHSCA, RHCE but I have the MCSA, MCSE, MCITP and CompTIA N+ in addition to the previous stuff Dawg mentioned

currently managing Citrix Environment, windows admin, system patching (SCCM), email systems, authentication........worked for both city and private sectors......

City gives you benefits, mad time off and the flexibility to have a second job or side hustle

Private gives you crazy paper, but the benefits you gonna have to mange yourself in the sense of if you wanna retire good and no real room to have a side hustle or second job for extra paper

so the choice it is all up to you

Lynch, one of my buddies told me MCSA & MCSE are the most valuable Microsoft certs. Are you expected to be a jack of all things Windows with these certs? Like know active directory, windows 10, registries... ?

@Dawg, hope you're safe and the family is OK. Better yet, hope you left Florida altogether. No need to be there right now.

I rented a carpet cleaner today. I wanted to touch up the hallway to the bedroom and my bedroom but didn't want to spend $150 for a professional service.
Renting the machine from Lowes would only be about $55 for the day including chemicals and I could touch up some other high traffic areas in the house as a preemptive treatment.

About 15 minutes into cleaning the waste water tank splits and dumps 3/4 gallons of dirty, brackish water all over my hallway!

I had to call a rug cleaning company on an emergency call to do an emergency water extraction because my little 2.5 Gal ShopVac could only pull out the water but did nothing for cleaning.

    Total:
    - $300 unscheduled service call. Water extraction, cleaning, & deodorization (I had them do the bedrooms since they were here anyway and the machine was pointless.)
    - $120 in towels. I threw 4 of my good Turkish bathroom towels on the floor because I need to sop up as much water as I could as quickly as I could and they were the quickest thing available.
    - $100 drywall repair and paint. While rushing up the stairs with the ShopVac, the momentum swung it wide and the handle put a small hole in my drywall.
    - $55 machine rental and chemicals.

Not a bad way to fuck off a Saturday. There's goes my fun money budget for the next two weekends.

Anyone peeped that Dr. Pepper commercial with Doug Flutie? Check out that chunk of chocolate that rolls through at the 0:50 mark.

When the receptionist of our dept retired, she told me at the rate I am going I will be "Jack of All Trades, Master of None". Pretty much I do everything, and I mean every position in my department, except being a Developer or DBA on the Oracle Systems. With MCSA and the MCSE comes more systems your supervisors will allow you to get hands on with, but gotta battle with them on pay because they will let you do stuff outside your description and don't wanna pay you for the new shit you managing.

Example, they brought me in as help desk, but now I run that, plus mobile, plus Citrix, plus Desktop, plus Net Admin (User Related & Outlook Stuff), plus Copiers & Printers........ so yea you gotta be ready bro!!!

Scope. I would address that the work is doing is far outside the scope and pay of your position. If they don't want to negotiate, then seek a new position with the new skills you have.

Workers need to see themselves as a business. I treat myself like a business, not an employee even when I have to work for a client's business.
They're in the business of making money - I'm in the business of making money for my knowledge & services. The more services you use, the more I charge.

You certainly don't sit in your barbers chair and ask for a basic haircut, then midway through the service ask for a shave, line-up, and dye service, which he does. And when complete, expect to hand him the same amount as you would for a basic haircut do you?

LMAO. How? They don't look anything alike.
Harley looks like she could be part Asian
    Teanna is your typical yellowbone.
Anya could be mistaken for Colombian or Dominican
Julie look Latina when she thick and redbone when she slims down

It's not that they look alike, because they don't
It's mostly because they all came around the same time period, some have been pared in scenes together and I can't remember their names for shit, so when I see them on tubes sites, I know the face, body and titties but can't remember the names and it tends to run together.

So have we gotten to the point where the porn industry has to put disclaimers before videos to remind people that the video is just fantasy and not to try this in real life.

Never heard of her. So the article suggests she was cyber bullied into killing herself. That's sad.
